Jan Tormay is passionate about telling a story through photography and the written word. She also enjoys creating compelling copy for websites, social media, promotional materials and producing commercials for radio and television utilizing natural/character voices. In addition to voiceover acting, the Connecticut native performed Bobbie in Neil Simon’s play, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, at the Milford Community Dinner Theatre.

Jan currently writes feature articles and periodically takes photographs for many magazines and newspapers. She frequently writes for Ink Publications and has also penned stories for The Day's Norwich Times, Day Magazine, Grace Magazine and Town & Country, as well as Seasons of the Shoreline Magazine, Providence Media, The Westerly Sun, Norwich Magazine, The Bulletin, Patch.com and Hartford News. Subjects vary from profiles, news and feature pieces to medical and business stories. For six years, Jan was a full-time writer, editor and photographer for LIFE Publications and a Hartford Magazine contributor. Additionally, she has worked in broadcasting. Beginning as a copywriter and often a top salesperson at WADS Radio, Jan and Dean Pepin soon became co-hosts on a morning talk show, Breakfast for Two. Later, she hosted Sound Off on the Sound on WFIF Radio, worked as a stringer/news anchor for WELI Radio, and was a traffic reporter for WPOP/WIOF Radio Stations.
